As part of our “Women Who Run” series, we chat with Jasi Robinson, NY State Senate Candidate in the 23rd district. This Staten Island/South Brooklyn district has been IDC member Diane Savino’s since 2005, where she often runs uncontested. Jasi talks about why she decided to take on this 13-year incumbent to affect real change in her home district, and why she wants to inspire more women of color to run. In her own words: “Martin Luther King had a dream. Jasi Robinson has a plan.”
